The museum presents Israel’s national treasures of nature, selected from a scientific collection of five and a half million items. In its exhibitions you will see thousands of items gathered through the years, in rare exhibits and displays that tell the story of the natural world around us.

The mission of the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History at Tel Aviv University is to inspire acquisition of knowledge, to promote understanding, and to reinforce our bonds with nature and our place within it – for the benefit of future generations.

The museum reveals scientific knowledge from research taking place within the museum itself and unique perspectives in an experiential, multi-sensory and enjoyable way, creating a special closeness and interaction with nature that cannot be experienced anywhere else.

Transportation

  • By car: “Steinhardt Museum” in WAZE
  • By bus: Egged routes 271, 222; Dan routes 7, 25, 45, 289; Kavim routes 107, 506, 464, 474, 506; Metropolin routes 572, 604, 572.
  • By train: disembark at Tel Aviv University station (and continue on Dan routes 7 and 45)

Parking

A 620-bay parking lot is located under the museum building. It is operated by Achuzot Hachof for a fee: https://www.ahuzot.co.il/Parking/ParkingDetails/?ID=121

Exhibition

A commercial and professional exhibition will be taking place during the conference, parallel to the conference hours.

Eating and Drinking

Eating in the museum is allowed only in designated areas. Food and beverages are not permitted in the lobby or the exhibitions. Visitors may walk around the museum only with a closed water bottle. 

Smoking Policy

This is a non-smoking event.

Smoking is prohibited throughout the museum grounds, including the balcony, the Galil plaza, and the amphitheater (near the café).

Liability and Insurance

The conference organizers cannot accept responsibility whatsoever for injury or damage involving persons and property either during or indirectly arising from the conference. Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to personal health and travel insurance.
