Rebecca Rakow-Penner MD, PhD is tenured Associate Professor of Radiology, Bioengineering, and Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at University of California San Diego where she is a thought leader in women’s health. She is a translational scientist and practicing radiologist in the breast and body imaging sections at UCSD. She is the Director of the Women’s Imaging Lab which focuses on developing imaging technology to improve the evaluation of female disease processes. Dr. Rakow-Penner has grant funding from NIH, industry, and private opportunities for her ground-breaking research in breast, ovarian, and cervical cancer as well as benign female pelvis disease.
