Dear Surgical Oncology Colleagues,
On behalf of the Israeli Society of Surgical Oncology, in conjunction with the Israel Surgical Association and Cleveland Clinic Florida, it is our pleasure to announce the convening of a unique international gathering of surgical oncology leaders from around the globe. We are happy to announce that the first Global Surgical Oncology Summit will be held in Jerusalem, Israel, beginning on June 24th, 2025 until June 27th, 2025. During this meeting, we will host the leaders of a large number of International Surgical Oncology societies, along with leaders of several leading organ based societies whose main provenance is surgical oncology, to discuss the current state of surgical oncology today, and what lies in the not so distant future.
The main theme of this gathering is global leadership and international collaboration, to improve the quality and scope of surgical oncology in all its various and diverse aspects. We are fortunate to hold this meeting in the city of Jerusalem, a city foundational to three great world religions, and spiritual home to many around the world, which will serve as the backdrop for this exciting event.
The planned sessions will include invited lectures on every facet of surgical oncology, both in terms of global impact, as well as the latest advances in specific organ systems. Researchers from around the world will be given an opportunity to present their data, either as oral presentations or as a digital poster presentation.
In addition the meeting will open with two satellite workshops, led by world renowned leaders, one on peritoneal surface malignancies, and one on fluorescence guided surgery, to highlight practical useful skills for registrants to experience and bring back to their home countries. We will also have several keynote addresses by renowned leaders of interest to all attendees.
We look forward to welcoming you to the holy city, and we are sure it will be an unforgettable experience for all who participate. More information will soon be available on our GSOS25 website.
Sincerely,
Steven D Wexner, MD PhD Congress President
Doron Kopelman, MD congress co-chair
